Textile-based Architecture: Exploring the state-of-the-art

ETFE (Ethylene TetraFluoroEthylene) and other architectural fabrics can be used for a number of applications and offer a sustainable solution for building façades, skylights and canopies, amongst others. However, many architects are unfamiliar with the materials and their opportunities, and few universities teach their students about it. Within the context of the ETFE-MFM project, Greenovate! Europe has led the production of training materials to inform architects and students about the opportunities provided by ETFE and other architectural fabrics. The training materials are comprised of a set of slides and speaking notes, as well as a high-quality, trilingual publication focused on an audience of architects.

The publication is available to read below, and can also be downloaded from our Publications section. The other training materials can be found at the ETFE-MFM project website.
