The green.eu project (Full Name: European Global Transition Network on Eco-Innovation, Green Economy and Sustainable Development) aims to accelerate the transition towards a green economy, with a focus on co-development of knowledge. The project will do this through the creation of the international Innovation for Sustainable Development Network (inno4sd.net).
The project will examine the challenges of improving understanding and assessment of the concepts of the green economy and eco-innovation, adaptation of policy-agendas, documentation of best practices and knowledge transfer and transferability.
In particular, the project is aiming to improve:
- Harmonisation of definitions;
- Collection of relevant information on the performance of past and current policy efforts;
- Co-ordination amongst stakeholders.
green.eu is a Co-ordination and Support Action (CSA), funded through Horizon 2020, the European Union's Framework Programme for Research & Innovation, under Grant Agreement No. 641974. The project is co-ordinated by the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and has twelve partners, including Greenovate! Europe and its member RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.
