The event "Building Renovation - Towards Low Energy Consumption" is to take place on 4 - 5 March 2010 in Wels, Austria in the frame of the World Sustainable Energy Days 2010.
 
The conference "Building Renovation" will present how public policies will contribute to triggering a renovation boom as well as financing models and technology solutions. It will showcase innovative examples of energy-efficient, economic and sustainable renovations of domestic, public and commercial buildings as well as for social housing. It will also outline approaches towards zero energy renovations.  
 
The conference is very timely - the recent agreement on a new European Building Directive is expected to create a new impetus for building renovation in Europe.

The event takes place in parallel to the "Energiesparmesse", a trade show dedicated to renewable energy sources and energy efficiency with nearly 100,000 visitors every year and more than 420 exhibitors presenting products and services for building renovation.
