EP Dinner Debate: How to complete the full innovation cycle
Venue: Members Salon, European Parliament, Brussels
A dinner debate at the European Parliament will bring together a group of innovation professionals to discuss Lessons for HORIZON2020 from commercialisation support actions for R&D results in nanomaterial and production.
Too much of the knowledge generated by EC R&D projects never finds its way to the market because the current programmes do not cover the full innovation chain in a seamless manner. We lose exploitable know-how at multiple stages in the current process.
The European Institutions are now shaping “HORIZON2020”. In time for a contribution to their reflections, the dinner debate will aim to:
• better understand the weaknesses of the current FP7 in terms of exploitation of results
• illustrate possible approaches to turning R&D results into business success
• discuss how to concretely strengthen HORIZON2020’s innovation performance
The debate will be hosted by MEP Ms Maria da Graça Carvalho, who has a good chance of becoming rapporteur for HORIZON2020 at the EP, and is organised by a group of innovation professionals with long-standing experience in the exploitation of public-funded R&D results.
The event is upon invitation only. If you are interested in attending, please contact rossella.riggio@greenovate.eu
