Environlink North West
Envirolink is the business support organisation for the low carbon and environmental goods and services (LCEGS) sector. As a not-for-profit company, our aim is to support the growth of the LCEGS sector thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and environmental protection which is vital for the UK’s transition to a low carbon economy.
Through collaboration with suppliers, end users, research institutes and funders we facilitate the development and uptake of innovative low carbon and environmental technologies. We do this by helping businesses to develop and market low carbon and environmental products and services whilst promoting them to end-users and acting as a link between buyers and suppliers.
Innovation Competence
Envirolink supports and facilitates innovation in the low carbon and environmental goods and services sector through a number of mechanisms:
- Active Networks of researchers, industry and end users co-ordinated around themes to encourage collaborative research.
- Funding and investor support to help companies developing products and services find finance appropriate for their stage of development.
- Supply chain development and networking opportunities to facilitate the development of new products, services and business models.
Eco-Innovation Experiences
Envirolink facilitates the development of eco-innovation in the low carbon environmental goods and services sector through a number of activities including:
- Providing training to buyers and supply chain partners on sustainable procurement.
- Supporting the development of tender opportunities which reflect commitment from buyers to source procurement of low carbon goods and service.
- Supporting innovation across the supply chain – SMEs, universities, public and private sector, helping companies get access to market.
