Open call at DG TREN for demonstration projects

The European Commission's DG TREN has finally published the call for proposals for demonstration projects that had been postponed several times.
A budget of 147 Mio EUR is available for proposals with a deadline of 8 October 2008. the projects will be selected by independent evaluators in a one-stage evaluation procedure. Project negotiations are planned for January 2009.
Priorities are renewable electricity, alternative motor fuels, "clean coal" technologies, smart grids and energy efficiency and demand side management.
The CONCERTO initiative is also part of this call.
