Innovation Seeds
INNOVATIONSEEDS aims to maximise the value of environmental research with and innovative interactive platform.
Europe leads in many environmental research areas. It has great potential to tackle urgent societal problems, but it needs to accelerate the uptake of R&D results by a wide range of market players in order to produce policy measures and market success. INNOVATIONSEEDS will change this by communicating research results in a usable manner to policy makers and industry stakeholders. It will facilitate connections between researchers, policy makers, engineers and business experts to boost Europe’s performance in the ever-growing green sector.
Eco-innovation stakeholders can obtain a full range of services through INNOVATIONSEEDS. The interactive platform allows research teams, policy makers and technology providers and users to access and communicate about new eco-innovative technologies and knowledge. Moreover, INNOVATIONSEEDS uses social networking tools to promote and foster a broad-based eco-innovation community.
Users will benefit from a virtual library of R&D results gathering the details of 100 promising FP6, FP7 and CIP environmental research projects. The INNOVATIONSEEDS experts will repackage the results and highlight how they might be used by a wide range of market players.
The most suitable mix of promotional activities is determined for each R&D result to ensure uptake by potential users. This includes articles, webinars, and video news releases, as well as brokerage events to promote links between researchers and potential research users. INNOVATIONSEEDS also features an intelligent navigation system guiding SMEs to the most appropriate public and private funding for eco-innovation projects.
