Calls for Proposals 2008 Launched by DG ENTR

In late 2008, the European Commission’s Enterprise and Industry DG published three calls for proposals.

The first call is ACTION ENT/CIP/09/C/N03S00 Public Procurement Networks in support of the Lead Market Initiative; with the aim of encouraging demand for innovative goods and services.
For this call the approach is to encourage the demand for innovative products and services in Europe by providing appropriate support to public procurement practices which are active in the lead markets of concern in this call (construction, protective textiles, bio-based products, recycling and renewable energies).
The call aims to fund 3-4 projects, with a maximum budget of €3 million.  The maximum EC contribution per project is €1 million with a co-financing rate of 95% of the total eligible costs.
The deadline for application for this call is: 27th of February 2009

Secondly, under the Europe Innova programme, Action EuropeINNOVA-ENT-CIP-09-C-N01S00 - Europe INNOVA: European Innovation Platforms for trans-national cluster cooperation, knowledge-intensive services, eco-innovation and the promotion of novel tools and service concepts for innovation support.
Targeted to SME’s and start-ups, intending to develop and test practical innovation support services with the overall aim to accelerate innovation processes and facilitate the commercialisation of innovative products and services.The call is to be executed through sectoral partnerships (public-private), partnerships of cluster organizations all of which are to be facilitated by horizontal support services.
The call will fund a total of 12 projects with a total budget of €26.5 million with varied co-financing rates and budgets for each strand over 36 months.
The deadline for applications is for this call is: 12th of February 2009.

The third call, under PRO INNO Europe is, ACTION PROINNOEurope-ENT-CIP-09-C-N02S00 - PRO INNO Europe®: Fostering trans-national cooperation on support for innovation, with the purpose of bringing together public actors involved in innovation and promoting trans-national cooperation. There are two actions under the call, with a total of 6 different strands.
The call will fund one project per stand for a total of 6 projects, with a total maximum total budget of €15.5 million with varied co-financing rates and budgets for each strand over 36 months (except one strand – 24 months).
The deadline for application for this call is: 12th of February 2009.
